“I am so proud of what Moxie Fitness has become since opening in 2017. We have high quality classes and inspiring instructors. Most of all, we are a place to come together to move and encourage each other. Being Moxie strong means moving well throughout our lives and I believe we must move our bodies in many ways to feel our best mentally and physically. I am humbled to be a part of a beautiful community who embodies my passion for health and fitness.”
- Wendi O’ Dell
“Moxie is a place of belief, of becoming our own greatest hero. It is a profound joy to help a person believe in their own reflection, and awaken the potential inside simply by believing in them and acting as a mirror to the fire, joy, and life already burning inside themselves.”
- Leslie Galvan

LESLIE GALVAN
Owner / Instructor
Teaching for me is a natural part of life, woven into the fabric of daily living. Becoming certified in all modalities represented in the studio gives me a unique perspective on health and wellness, with an added emphasis on biomechanics. Certified in yoga for nearly a decade has shifted my mindset, allowed me to see growth as an opportunity to live a fully immersive life. Holding Yacep and ERYT 500 through Yoga Alliance speaks to the wisdom gained through experience, and fortitude in years. Certifications in Pilates and Pilates Reformer lends a legitimacy to understanding anatomy and kinesiology.

Creating Moxie in 2020 meant nurturing a growth mindset while the world was narrow and inwardly focused. Instead of pulling back we expanded our vision and forged connection, resulting in a deeply rooted community. This became the blueprint for what I love most; to teach, welcome, and believe in all who make their way to our studio.

I learn from Moxie instructors, members, and I hope to always welcome new challenges as they allow me to grow ever closer to my best self. If I have one gift, it is to feel each situation deeply while always carrying joy. I often laugh in class, and hope that joy is spreading to all while we face down our inner critic and fear.

I am most happy with family, both at home and at Moxie. Today, those lines often blur, many friends and neighbors are also Moxie family! I am grateful to have been pointed on this path, and honored to serve this community.

CHRISTINA BROWN
Instructor
Christina is beyond blessed to have a family which includes daughter Camden, husband Derek, and three dog babies, Nubb, Winnie, and Jackie.

Christina has been working in group fitness and as a personal trainer for nearly 15 years. Her primary goal in life is to honor God with the way that she loves others and uses her talents and passions for the benefit of those around her.

Teaching a class is more than a class, but is an opportunity to make someone’s day start or end with a little joy. Christina finds inspiration by fully utilizing the body’s potential for work.

I love planning themed classes for holidays and celebrations, either mainstream or just something I dreamed up on my own. My goals are to inspire others to find exercise as a privilege and a prize and not a punishment or a box that needs checked. Great music is a must in my classes and sets the tone for every workout, whether spinning, stepping, or lifting.

My Moxie Pride comes from my people who show up for one another, cheer for their victories, and encourage rather than compete. Moxie is a reminder that women can be for one another! I always look forward to the girls’ chatter before class and their constant need for me to remind them what the exercise was. Moxie is a place you can grow in every sense of the word.
